- BSBWHS309 Contribute effectively to WHS communication and consultation processes
- ICTICT443 Work collaboratively in the ICT industry
- VU23213 Utilise basic network concepts and protocols required in cyber security
- VU23215 Test concepts and procedures for cyber security
- VU23217 Recognise the need for cyber security in an organisation
- VU23223 Apply cyber security legislation, privacy and ethical practices
- VU23220 Develop and carry out a cyber security industry project
Electives: Complete minimum 8
You will be assessed using three methods:
- ICTPRG435 Write scripts for software applications
- ICTPRG434 Automate processes
- VU23216 Perform basic cyber security data analysis
- VU23214 Configure and secure networked end points
- VU23219 Manage the security infrastructure for an organisation
- VU23221 Evaluate and test an incident response plan for an enterprise
- VU23222 Expose website security vulnerabilities
- ICTCLD401 Configure cloud services
- ICTSAS526 Review and update disaster recovery and contingency plans
- VU23218 Implement network security infrastructure for an organisation
Program Details
Certificate IV in Cyber Security 22603VIC
*From Semester 2 2025, the location of this course will transition from CIT Reid to the new CIT Woden campus. CIT will provide support for students who will be making the move to Woden.
Next Intake and Duration
Semester 2 2024
Full time: 12 months (approx. 20 hours per week) It is expected that you will spend approximately the same number of hours in private study to practise skills and apply new knowledge. Delivery is a combination of online and attendance at CIT.
Part-time options are available.

Enrolment fees for this course are based on the costs per subject as indicated below. The total course cost may vary depending on the choice of elective subjects or if subjects are attempted more than once. Subject costs identified as Standard are partially subsidised by the ACT Government. Concessions may be available to eligible students.
